Tithes and Offerings

Money can be a sensitive topic in church spaces, and we want to be incredibly clear and educational about what the Bible says regarding giving. You will often hear two distinct terms used: tithes and offerings.


  • What is a Tithe? The word "tithe" literally translates to a tenth or 10%. In Scripture, tithing is the practice of returning the first 10% of our primary income back to God through the local church. It is viewed as an foundational act of obedience, priority, and trust—acknowledging that everything we have ultimately belongs to Him anyway.


  • What is an Offering or Giving? An offering is any financial gift given above and beyond your standard 10% tithe. This is where giving becomes deeply personal and sacrificial. Offerings are often directed toward special initiatives, unexpected community needs, or expanding our ministerial horizons.

Local Church Ministries

This keeps our lights on, funds our free community café, provides snacks and study handouts for our mid-week studies, and secures background checks and high-energy resources for our children and youth environments.

Our Future Home

We have already purchased land and are actively navigating the city permit process to build a brand-new, modern church facility right across the street from Life Church. A portion of our giving directly supports this exciting campus expansion.

Global Mission Partners

We don't keep our blessings to ourselves. Revive proudly and directly funds international ministry efforts, supporting a sister Global Methodist Church community in Mexico as well as independent Methodist church plants across Cuba.
